Having been sober since 2013 I relapsed, I was really struggling to hold onto my
sobriety and frequented various Rehab Centres with little success. I constantly fell off the wagon
and each time my relapse got worse and worse. In April of 2020 after being sober for a year and 3
months, I relapsed again and couldn’t stay sober for more than a month at a time. My situation
reached the breaking point in April this year.
I was literally drinking from the moment I woke up to the time I went to sleep, even having a bottle of Vodka under my pillow in case I woke up during the night. At my wit’s end, and seeing no way out, my partner and I made contact with Colleen of Alpha Treatment and Support, the owner of Recoveryonline.online. She referred me to a Rehab center for a fully controlled medical detox and then checked me into her treatment center for two months in order to maintain and strengthen my sobriety. Right away I felt at home. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the facility was spotless and well-maintained and there was a sense of peace about the place. The added advantage was that I was able to work
and live a “normal” life with the safety and security of being a resident at the house. My counselor
Colleen, whilst gentle, caring and understanding was strict and fully committed to helping me on
my recovery journey.
Needless to say, I am extremely grateful to her and all her staff. I am enjoying being sober and feeling strong. If life gets too much they are there for me. The caring is ongoing and I now consider my
second home and am blessed to call my counselor my friend. I am so grateful to you all for giving
me a new lease on life. I’m finally feeling joyful again and look forward to each day. Thank you for
giving me new life.
